Cherokee Dam Campground

Cherokee Dam Campground is located in Jefferson City, TN, on the upstream south side of the TVA Cherokee Dam. Adjacent to the campground is Cherokee Lake where there is a large public boat ramp, a day use, and swimming area with picnic tables and a pavilion.

Facilities

Campground

The campground has a total of 44 camp sites. With the exception of 5 primitive sites, all the sites have electrical and water hookups, and 4 sites meet ADA guidelines. Nearly every campsite in the campground has a view of the beautiful lake and mountains. The entry roads into the campground are paved, and most campsites are level with gravel parking pads. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit/grill. The campground bathhouse has warm showers and flush toilets. The campground’s water pressure is 100psi and requires having a water pressure regulator reducers to protect RV pipes.

All sites require a 2-night minimum stay. Please call the campground directly to request an exception if you wish to stay for just 1 night.

Cedar Point Campground features a swimming beach, grills, fishing areas, a designated swimming area and max amp 50 campsites.

Campground rules are provided to campers upon check-in. Go Camp Tennessee, in a partnership agreement with TVA, provide these facilities for your convenience and enjoyment. The successful operation of this area depends on your cooperation and compliance of our campground rules. Please check out the rules below.
